How to Find Tranquility

I Breathe

Fresh air fills my lungs

My body sinks into the earth

Water dances on the rocks

Birds sing a song of joy

The breeze floats through me

My thoughts drift by

Rays of sunshine warm my skin

My soul is free

I melt into the beauty

Love reflected back to me

Infinite with all that is

Being peace and calm

Tranquility can be defined as being free from agitation of mind and spirit. Essentially, having peace of mind. Tranquility is a state of being, a feeling that you can generate in your life. For me I find tranquility in moments, some longer than others. Often, I find tranquility by spending time alone in nature. There is a quiet peace in nature that I have not been able to find anywhere else.

Once you have experienced tranquility you can regenerate that state of being in your everyday life. I have found moments of tranquility in self care, such as taking a relaxing bath or in meditation. There are moments, such as waking up with the sun and birds chirping that are the most tranquil for me. I can find tranquility by breathing in essential oils such as lavender and cedarwood. There are also crystal that can help promote tranquility, they are: amethyst, chrysocolla, jasper, kyanite, larimar, blue sapphire, and smithsonite. You can carry these stones with you or place them around your home or work space to promote feelings of tranquility.

Here are some other quick tips for finding tranquility in your life:

  • Be at peace with yourself and everything happening in your life, in the present moment
  • Practice gratitude daily
  • Release attachments to expectations
  • Create an environment of peace in your life.
  • Go with the flow
  • Enjoy life!
