Setting Intentions for the New Year

We are quickly approaching 2018, with only two weeks left to the new year, it is a time to reflect and begin to set intentions for the new year. According to numerology, 2018 will be a year for love, building relationships, and a time for spiritual awakening. This year will also require us to slow down and be the observer. It is about finding balance. Without intention and consciously living the year may be rocky, so make sure to get ahead this year and start your year on a good note!

What is an intention?

An intention is a clear and positive statement of an outcome you want to experience.

Setting your intentions:

  1. Examine your values: make a list of your values and organize them by importance. Are you in alignment with your values? What do you need to do to align yourself with your values.
  2. Is your intention achievable? Do you believe that you can achieve it? If not, make it believable. It’s okay to have an intention of living a healthier lifestyle rather than setting an intention to loose weight, if it’s too hard to believe that you can loose weight.
  3. Turn your intention into a positive statement. Instead of using “Stop eating sugar” use “eat more veggies.”
  4. Write your intention down and refer to it as often as you need. Let go of how you will achieve it and allow yourself to be in alignment. Let the universe do its magic in showing you ways to live by your intent.
