3 Ways to Use Essential Oils Daily

1. Diffuse:

Diffusing is hands down one of the most popular ways of using essential oils. A diffuser is a device that disperses the essential oils into the air so that the aroma fills the room or space. From the simple to the elaborate, many different methods exist for diffusing into a room. You can find an essential oil diffuser blend to suit every mood or need. Here are a few of my favorite recipes:

Stress Less
1 Drop of Vetiver
1 Drop of Lavender
2 Drops of Do Terra Balance

Ocean Breeze
3 Drops Lavender
4 Drops Lime
1 Drop Spearmint

If you are looking to purchase a diffuser or learn more about the many diffuser options I suggest the many offerings of DoTerra diffuser. You can find them HERE.

2. Topical Usage

I want to say that this is my favorite way of using oils, but it is just too hard to decide between topical and diffusing!

Using essential oils topically gives you the immediate benefits that you are looking for. From sore muscles to need a headache or even needing a boost in energy. You can apply the oils directly on the area that needs attention or using the oils on your reflex points.

It’s important to remember to dilute essential oils when you use them. Some oils can be applied “neat” (meaning directly on the skin without any carrier oil), but I always recommend doing a patch test first. All you have to do for a patch test is apply a drop of essential oil directly onto your skin and see if any sensitivities occur.

*Hot oils that should never be applied without a carrier oil are Oregano, Thyme, and Cinnamon

3. Cleaning

There are many cleaning recipes that you can use to create a non toxic, natural cleaning option for yourself. lemon, wild orange, and eucalyptus have powerful cleaning and disinfecting properties. Do Terra offers several different cleaning recipes that can be found here.
